If you could only save one thing in a house fire (thing, not person), what would it be and why?

The photograph box with all the negatives from 1945 to 1975. Those are my mother's negatives, and hardly any of those photos are scanned in.

but just sifting through all the things I'd want in my mind is making me realize just how devastating a fire or flood could be. And it also shows me how much people risk when they try to save stuff.
